Westerly Storm 33 ‘THUNDER’ – SOLD

Westerly Yachts for sale

Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to announce the successful sale of the Westerly Storm 33 ‘THUNDER’.

The very first of the Westerly Storm 33‘s to come out of the factory THUNDER was the original boat show yacht for the launch of the class in 1986, debuting at London’s Earls Court Boatshow.

Launched to be a contender to the highly successful Sigma 33 class the design brief to designer Ed Dubois was for a boat capable of performing at regattas while providing comfortable accommodation below for a maximum crew of 7. The boat has proved to hit all the requirements of the brief and has proved very popular as a safe and predictable cruising yacht.

Extensively upgraded in recent years THUNDER’s inventory highlights include:

  • Awlgrip painted topsides.
  • Tek-Dek synthetic teak panels on cockpit seating. (2019).
  • Underwater hull soda blasted and finished with CopperCoat. (2017)
  • Decks soda blasted and fully re-painted. (2017)
  • Volvo Penta D1-20 engine. (2014)
  • Mast fully re-wired with marine-grade tinned cable. (2016)

An ideal family cruiser, capable of competing in local regattas. As her new owner’s first yacht we are sure they will thoroughly enjoy the safe and predictable qualities of the Westerly Storm 33. We look forward to meeting them on the water this summer.

We have buyers actively seeking high-quality cruising yachts and motorboats. If you are considering selling your boat please get in touch. Find full details of the brokerage services we can provide here.
