The Sunsets on an Epic 2019 for Mark Cameron Yachts

As the year draws to a close.

We take a quick look back at a few of the highlights from what was an epic 2019 for Mark Cameron Yacht; and our first full 12 months of trading. We want to thank all our clients for allowing us to assist with the sale and purchase of their sailing dreams.

Feedback is always gratefully received.

It’s always rewarding to receive positive feedback, and in the last year we have been spoilt in this regard;

‘An effortless yacht sale.  A very professional and efficient service.’

– Stuart Brookes, vendor of the Bavaria 30 ‘Windsome.’

‘I must say a superb service, we could not have hoped for any better 10/10.’

– Richard Hanson, vendor of the Moody 35 ‘Shianero.’

To top off our positive feedback for 2019

one client very kindly mentioned his positive experience in a monthly magazine column:

‘we were fortunate to find Mark Cameron, a yacht broker of rare talent, who operates in those latitudes. Mark not only managed to sell my boat within days but also skilfully negotiated its replacement…..’

– Alexander McCall Smith, Scottish Field Magazine, September 2019. Vendor of the Fisher 34 MKIII ‘Puffin’

We will be aiming to receive he same positive feedback from clients as we launch into 2020.

A quick look at some of the lovely yachts we were privileged to sell in 2019.

Throughout the year we were very lucky to be engaged to act in the sale of a great selection of lovely yachts and motor yachts; presented in excellent condition, ensuring brisk business from January to December some of our highlights were:

A triple of lovely offshore cruisers in the first quarter.

Immaculately presented Najad 391 ‘Farahbout’, the tremendously well-appointed Contest 40S ‘Siara’ and the awesomely styled and blisteringly quick 2016 built RM1270 ‘Blue Puffin’.

As the sun shone and everyone made the most of the long summer days we were kept busy with some of the larger sales of the year.

Oyster 68 'Moonshadow of Lorne'Belliure 48 'Carmen C' Hallberg-Rassy 43 'Yarona'

The stunningly presented and much admired Oyster 68 ‘Moonshadow of Lorne’. The Belliure 48 ‘Carmen C’ a proper little ship and as the season drew to a close the Hallberg-Rassy 43 with an ultra-rare teak interior finish.

Alongside the larger more notable sales we have been kept busy with a steady stream of sales covering yachts of all sizes and types from all the main manufacturers such as Moody, Westerly, Alubat Ovni, Jeanneau, Benneteau, Bavaria and others. With several boats currently under offer and the spring steadily approaching we are always interested in talking with anybody considering the sale of their boat in 2020.

The Mark Cameron Yachts team expands as we look forward to a prosperous 2020 and beyond.

As we look forward to 2020 and all the challenges it will hold, we are delighted to bring Derek Armstrong aboard the team.

Derek Armstrong joins the Mark Cameron Yachts team.

Derek will be a familiar face to many having worked with another Scottish broker some years ago. A sailor himself and qualified Yachtmaster he has owned several boats of the years from yachts to RIBS and has a wealth of experience; not to mention his talent for photography. This addition to our team will ensure we can continue to deliver the personal experience our clients expect.

From all of us here at Mark Cameron Yachts we thank you for your custom in 2019 and look forward to working with you again in 2020 and beyond. We wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year.
