Mark Cameron Yachts

NEW LISTING – 1972 Sabre 27 ‘JANMARIS’

Sabre 27

Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to have been appointed to act in the sale of the 1972 Sabre 27 ‘JANMARIS’.

Designed by Alan F. Hill the prototype Sabre 27 was built in 1969 by Eric White of Marine Construction (UK) Ltd (Marcon). Following on from the successful launch of the prototype the class entered mass production with some 400 hulls being moulded between 1969 and 1979. The Sabre 27 proved itself to be an ideal single boat for single handing with everything easily manageable from the helm. Below decks against other designs of the period she offers more internal volume and can easily accommodate a family of four.

The Sabre 27 JANMARIS has been with her current owner since 1995 and has provided more than 25 years of enjoyable coastal sailing around the coast of Scotland. With her owners now reluctantly ‘swallowing the anchor’ she is offered for sale as a ready to launch and sail package including:

  • Beta BD722 marine diesel engine, 20hp (2006)
  • Both batteries replaced in 2019
  • Deck mounted solar panel (2021)
  • Raymarine ST2000 Tiller Pilot (2011)
  • Depth – NASA Clipper (2021)
  • Plotter – Garmin GPSmap 172C (2005)
  • Origo 2 ring spirit stove, with 2 spare burner cassettes. (2011)
  • Mainsail Kemp Sails 2013
  • Genoa Kemp Sails 2009
  • Seago inflatable dinghy (2016)
  • Honda 4-stroke, 2.5hp outboard (2016)

Lying ashore the Sabre 27 JANMARIS is available for immediate viewing by prior appointment.
