Designed by Bill Dixon the Moody Eclipse 33 was a joint venture between Moody Marketing, Marine Projects Ltd and Marine Development Ltd which resulted in 3 different models of the Eclipse range going into production. The Eclipse 33 is the smallest variation and proved to be a very popular design when in production between 1986 & 1994, the strong demand is still evident in today’s second hand market. Based on a sailing yacht hull the Eclipse designs offer real on the water performance under sail when compared with other deck saloon and motor sailor offerings.
The Moody Eclipse 33 ‘HEXIDOR’ is a very well presented MkI version of the design, with the full internal helm station including wheel steering example. She has enjoyed significant re-fitting in recent years. Now recluctantly offered for sale her extensive inventory includes highlights such as:
With locally based buyers HEXIDOR will be moving from her berth in Portavadie Marina to her new home port of Tarbert, Loch Fyne for the winter. Her owners plan to commission the boat in the early spring before setting off on a summer long cruise of the Western Isles in 2022. We look forward to seeing them on the water next year.
