Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to announce the successful sale of the 1992 Moody 35 ‘Don’s Sottise’.

Bill Dixon designed centre cockpit Moody’s of the 1990’s are highly regarded by cruising yachtsmen around the globe. With a safe comfortable deck layout which offers crew protection from the elements and spacious practical accommodation below decks combined good performance under sail its not hard to understand why. The Moody 35 offers the cruising sailor a great platform to get afloat and explore the coasts of the UK or venture further afield.

With just her second owners the Moody 35 DONS SOTTISE had been based in the Firth of Lorne area since new and is a familiar sight around the anchorages of the west coast. Benefitting from continual maintenance she is offered for sale with a comprehensive inventory including:

  • Topsides professionally polished spring 2023
  • Underwater hull finished with blue antifouling, applied March 2023
  • Tek-deck synthetic teak decking panels to finish cockpit sole and seating (2016)
  • Beta Marine B35 marine diesel engine (2011)
  • Majority of seacocks replaced 2017
  • Steering system stripped, inspected and lubricated 2021
  • Stainless steel fuel tank installed 2011
  • USB charging sockets installed 2019
  • Plastimo Neptune 4500 gas cooker, two burner, oven and grill. Gimbal mounted (2018)
  • Profurl roller reefing system with new forestay installed June 2023

Lying ashore in Creran Marine, near Oban the Moody 35 DONS SOTTISE will be heading over to Ireland and her new home port of Glenarm with her new owners in the new year.
