Mark Cameron Yachts

1984 International H-Boat ‘FINAL FLING’ – SOLD

H-Boat

Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to announce the successful sale of the 1984 International H-Boat ‘FINAL FLING’.

The International H-Boat was the first GRP moulded yacht to gain one-design class status back in 1968. The designer Hans Groop was commissioned by the Segelsällskrab Yacht Club to update the wooden Folkboat concept for mass GRP production and the H-Boat was born. By 1970 the boat was in production under license across Europe with builders. To date in excess of 5000 boats have been launched with one-design classes to be found racing across the globe.

FINAL FLING is a much loved example of the International H-Boat class. With her current owner since 2001 she has been used for local club racing predominately. Lying ashore in Tighnabruaich she is available for viewing by prior appointment.

When a break in the autumn storms allow FINAL FLING will be collected by her new owners and taken to her new home in Northern Ireland. Over this coming winter she will be given a light re-fit with new rigging and sails in preparation for local class racing in 2024.
