Description

Introduced in 1972 the Westerly Longbow hull designed by Laurent Giles went on to underpin various other models with differing deck and keel configurations, in excess of a thousand hulls being moulded before production ceased in 1980. 260 of the mouldings were the aft cockpit Westerly Longbows of ketch and sloop configurations. With its modest mast height the ketch version of the Longbow is regarded as a dependable cruising yacht.
ALOUETTE is a nicely presented example of this classic cruising ketch. Sailed single-handed or with only a couple aboard in the current ownership she has proven to be a safe and well-mannered companion. Her inventory highlights include:

Beta Marine BD1005 marine diesel engine
Autohelm ST4000 wheeldrive autopilot system
Autohelm ST50 navigation instrumentation
Icom IC-M411 DSC VHF
Plastimo Neptune 2500 gas cooker. 3 burner, grill and oven.
Lavac manual marine toilet
Taylors 079KB paraffin heater
SL Hy-speed manual windlass
HonWave inflatable dinghy
Outboard – Honda 2hp 4-stroke

Wintering ashore ALOUETTE has a planned launch date in early April of 2024. She is available now for immediate viewing by appointment.
