Description

The Hallberg P28 was in production between 1955 and 1973 with a total of 536 examples leaving the yard over this 19 year period. During the production run several changes were made to the original design including a change from fractional to masthead sloop rig and the introduction of GRP hulls from 1963 onwards. This classic Harry Hallberg design has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years with a number of early examples enjoying success in various prestigious classic yacht regattas.

MARGUERITE was built at the end of the wooden hull construction period. She benefits from being fitted with the later masthead fractional rig and larger saloon windows. With her current owner since 2001 she has only had 3 owners since leaving the factory in 1963. Her inventory includes:

Yanmar 1GM10 marine diesel engine (2012)
NASA Target Depth and Log instruments
Garmin Echomap 65CV chart plotter
Icom IC-M423G DSC VHF
Raymarine ST2000 Tillerpilot
Seafeather windvane self-steering gear
Plastimo Neptune galley stove
Baby Blake marine toilet.

Winter ashore in Ardoran Marine, near Oban the Hallberg P28 MARGUERITE is available for immediate viewing by prior appointment. Launching and commissioning for the 2024 season is planned in April 2024.
