Salar 40 ‘CAOLAS MOR’ – SOLD

Mark Cameron Yachts is delighted to announce the successful sale of the Salar 40 ‘CAOLAS MOR’

The Laurent Giles designed Salar 40 proved to be a very popular concept. A robust cruiser with a doghouse providing good shelter to the centre cockpit with sufficient horsepower to drive her as a motor sailor if preferred. The design, produced around the globe in relatively large numbersĀ can be found in various configurations.

CAOLAS MOR was built by Essex Yacht Builders in 1972. She has been with the current owner since the day she left the yard, almost half a century!

Through out her life she has been professionally maintained and thoughtfully upgraded. Regularly surveyed, her last survey was in 2017. Lightly used in the last 10 years the boat is well-presented with comfortable accommodation. Below decks she sleeps a crew of 6, including an en-suite head in the aft cabin. A reluctant sale brought about by advancing years its an upsetting decision to sell this much-loved member of the family.

Purchased as a family yacht CAOLAS MOR is going to be recommissioned and launched before being treated to a mini-refit before spending the couple of decades with only her second owners since she was built in 1972. We look forward to seeing CAOLAS MOR back afloat and being enjoyed.

We have a large number of buyers actively seeking to buy high-quality cruising yachts and motorboats for use this season. If you are considering selling your boat please get in touch. Find full details of the brokerage services we can provideĀ here
