A popular choice for the offshore cruising yachtsman the Vancouver 34 Classic has proven to be a reliable cruising yacht wither cruising around the coast or crossing oceans. The long keel and cutter rig providing a balanced boat which is easy on her helmsman and crew in the most arduous of conditions.

In the current ownership, the Vancouver 34 Classic CINNABAR has safely carried her owners around the length and breadth of the British Isles and enjoyed a 2-year trip to Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea. Sailing with a crew of just two the Vancouver 34 has proven to be a safe and robust cruiser, easily handled by a small crew. ‘The Vancouver 34 is every inch and offshore cruiser. Under sail she has a light helm and is perfectly balanced in any wind strength making it easy work for the helmsman or self steering gear. The standard rig is strong (some say over specified) and supports the cutter rig. The Vancouver 34 is surprisingly fast under sail and high average speeds are possible which can be maintained for long periods: the ideal passagemaker.

The Vancouver 34 is a modern ‘classic’ and despite her long keel and heavy displacement is easy to manouever under sail or power. She is first choice for serious cruising. Comfortably wide decks and substantial guard rails provide safety and security at sea.
