Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to have been appointed to act in the sale of the 1994 Seaward 29 ‘SAVANNAH’.
The Seaward brand is synonymous with the iconic pilot boat styling which has become a common sight the world over. The bigger sister popular Seaward 23 and Seaward 25 the Seaward 29 originates from the TT Boat Designs stable; responsible for many of the larger Nelson designs. A robust, round bilged, semi-displacement hull shape provided the sea keeping abilities for which these designs are famous; making them popular with those sailors making the move from sail to motor.
The Seaward 29 offers considerably more living space than her smaller sisters making her ideally suited to use as a coastal cruiser. With a double bunk forward, galley, separate heads compartment and wheelhouse with saloon seating. The addition of the cockpit tent and cockpit cushions creating additional living space aft. SAVANNAH benefits from being extensively re-fitted and modernised in 2012/13, fitting many of the additions found on later Seaward 29 models. Her extensive inventory including highlights such as:
Now offered for sale as a complete package, recommissioned for the 2022 season and lying afloat and ready to use the Seaward 29 SAVANNAH is lying on her berth in Ardfern and available for viewing strictly by prior appointment.
A comprehensive refit of the boat was undertaken by Ardfern Yacht Centre for the previous owner, upgrading and modernising SAVANNAH to match the current factory-built examples of the class. Highlights of the works included:
Stainless steel stays fitted to stiffen flag mast.
Cockpit laid teak seating panels renovated and re-caulked.
Custom built solid stainless steel guard rail fitted around cockpit coaming.
Cockpit sole lockers and gas locker hatches all replaced with new Bomar hatches
Helm wheel fitted with leather hide.
Stainless pantograph wiper arms fitted
New VHF & FM/AM antennas and bases.
Low level courtesy lighting fitted around cockpit.
Internal saloon and companionway joinery work stripped back to bare timber and veneers restored as required before being re-finished with Epifanes satin varnish.
New Alcantara upholstery fitted throughout saloon and accommodations with matching portlight covers forward.
New curtains fitted around saloon.
New Axminster carpet with underlay fitted in saloon and accommodation space.
Jabsco regular bowl sea toilet fitted.
Heads sink faucet replace with combi tap and shower head unit.
Galley worktop infill section fabricated to fit in way of cooker providing additional working area.
Removable access hatches fitted to fuel tanks, 3 in each tank, tanks cleaned.
New engine mounts fitted on both engines.
Installation of duplex diesel filtration system on each engine with new Racor primary filters.
Maintained professionally since the re-fit the Seaward 29 SAVANNAH has enjoyed further upgrading in the current ownership.
