An exceptionally popular model for the Swedish boatbuilding powerhouse the Hallberg-Rassy 312 enjoyed a production run spanning some fifteen years with almost 700 hulls leaving the factory. The design was refreshed in 1986 with the later MkII’s featuring a re-styled coachroof and loosing the hull portlights, they look very similar in appearance to the later Frer’s designed models.
A later MkII example of the class DRAGONFLY OF LEITH features the modern style coachroof superstructure creating a brighter living space in the saloon with increased headroom. The Hallberg-Rassy 312 MkII also boast a slight longer saloon and better heads arrangement than the earlier MKI designs. Lovingly maintained and upgraded DRAGONFLY OF LEITH has enjoyed some significant upgrading in recent years to optimise her for short handed or solo sailing. Laid up for the 2020 season the Hallberg-Rassy 312 MkII DRAGONFLY OF LEITH will be recommissioned and launched when current restrictions permit. She will be available for viewing strictly by prior appointment.
