Designed by Dudley Dix; the winner of the Cruising and Sailing World’s 2001 ‘Boat of the Year’ award’ the Cape Cutter 19 concept was developed by Nick & Lyndsay Voorhoeve. The vision being to create a classic yacht for sailing pleasure in the style of a traditional working boat. The boat had to be a trailer sailer, with minimal draft; offering respectable sailing performance under sail which being able to fit inside a 20’ shipping container on her trailer and exported around the world.
Their brief to Dix was to design a trailer sailer with a traditional workboat image, shallow draft and high performance. The boat should also be capable of fitting in a 20’ shipping container in order to service international markets. The Cape Cutter 19 design has gained an international following with a growing international fleet.
FOXGLOVE has been with her current owners since 2014. As one of the first UK moulded hull she benefitted from a factory refit at the time of their purchase. With four practically sized berths below decks and basic amenities, she is an ideal weekender. Her inventory highlights include:
