Mark Cameron Yachts is delighted to have been appointed to act in the sale of the 25m Feadship ‘ANAHITA V’.

Very special opportunity to acquire an important piece of Feadship history.

Launched as ANAHITA V in 1952 (subsequently renamed MOSSIE, YANKEE, CLIPPER III, BEAU GESTE, INSPIRATION and LA VIE VITE before returning to her original name), this supremely elegant 25m twin screw Gentleman’s motor yacht was at the time of her launch, the largest Feadship to be constructed and the very first yacht from the company to be imported into the US. As Feadship’s first ‘superyacht’, ANAHITA V in many ways defined the business model that the company has since used to become arguably the most famous and most highly regarded of all superyacht builders.

Having spent the first part of her life on the East Coast of the United States, she then moved across to California where she was cruised between San Diego and Mexico. Having been seized by the US authorities for ‘undeclared importations’, she spent several years in federal ownership before being auctioned in the 1980’s. Her next owner enjoyed her a liveaboard for the following thirty years before she was sold on again to an American owner who planned a complete restoration.

Remarkable in her level of originality, ANAHITA V is now in need of complete renovation and restoration. She is offered for sale complete with a custom-manufactured shipping cradle which was originally used to transport her to Scotland and is currently preserving her structural integrity. The vendors are keen to see the vessel restored to her former glory all qualified offers will therefore be given due consideration.

Please Note – We understand that the vessel is not presently in a condition which will allow her immediate relaunching, recommissioning or operation of her systems. The vessel is offered for sale ‘as she now lies’ and her new owner will need to remove her from her current location immediately following closure of the sale.
