Mark Cameron Yachts

NEW LISTING – 1997 Moody 36 – SULAIRE

Moody 36

Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to have been appointed to act in the sale of the 1997 Moody 36 ‘SULAIRE’.

The Bill Dixon designed Moody 36 centre cockpit grabbed the attention of the yachting press when launched in the mid 1990’s. A slightly more performance orientated hull form when compared to her predecessors. The design captured all the qualities of her larger sisters and distilled this into a yacht that was easily handled by a couple while providing spacious accommodation below decks; ideally suited as a family cruiser.

A lightly used example of the Moody 36 SULAIRE is with just her second owner since being launched new. Reluctantly for sale her owner is in the process of having her commissioned for the season, including full wash, polish, antifoul and saildrive diaphragm replacement. Much loved she benefits from continual upgrading and her extensive inventory includes:

  • Volvo Penta MD2040 marine diesel engine.
  • Saildrive hull diaphragm to be replaced April 2025
  • Vetus 75kgf bow thruster
  • Raymarine EVO autopilot system (2021)
  • Raymarine i50 navigation instruments (2018)
  • Raymarine Axiom 9 chart plotter (2018)
  • JRC Radar 1000 MkII

  • Nelson Two burner, oven and grill. (2018)
  • Full standing rigging replacement in 2018

PRESS REVIEW:

‘If you’re looking for a 36ft cruising yacht that has a reputation for meticulous construction quality, that has rarely (if ever) been afflicted with the dreaded osmosis, has a palatial master suite, is easy to handle by a couple, exhibits a comfortable, sea-kindly motion under way and holds its value on the used boat market – then you wouldn’t go far wrong seeking out one of these.

You could trust her to take you almost anywhere in the traditional cruising waters of the world, safely, steadily and with a high level of comfort.’
