Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to have been appointed to act in the sale of the 1986 Feeling 1040 ‘DEEP WATER OF POOLE’.

The Feeling range of yachts was launched in the 1980’s, built by the Kirie company of France; established originally as a builder of wooden yachts in 1912. The early range of Feelings, the 940, 1040 and 1090 were the companies first venture into production GRP yacht construction. Notably as a marketing exercise an early Feeling 1040 was sailed from France to New York, through a Hurricane and then exhibited at the New York Boat show in 1985, winning the American Boat of the Year award.

When introduced in the 1980s the Feeling 1040 was very modern in her styling, an attribute the design still has today. The use of light timber veneers below deck creating a lighter and more spacious living space. Below the waterline the hull has been drawn to perform under sail as well as provide sensible living quarters.

DEEP WATER OF POOLE is a much loved example of the class which has been with her current owner for decades. She has proven to be a highly capable cruiser enjoying regular cruises to France and continent. Now reluctantly offered for sale she is offered with a sail away inventory including:
