Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to have been appointed to act in the sale of the 1974 Nantucket Clipper Ketch ‘SAND DOLLAR’.
Designed by Alan Buchanan the Nantucket Clipper is an instantly recognisable boat with her traditional clipper features and sweet shearline with the low topsides. A heavy displacement boat by modern standards she has gained a reputation as a highly capable and safe offshore cruiser, ideally suited to short and single handed sailing.
Unlike some examples SAND DOLLAR was professionally fitted out at the factory when new and benefits from having had a major re-fit in the late 1990’s. Lovingly maintained in the current ownership she has been predominately sailed single handed and is set up for ease of use. Offered with a comprehensive inventory which includes:
- Topsides painted with International 2-pack paint (2019)
- Underwater hull epoxied below waterline.
- Perkins Perama M30 marine diesel engine (2000)
- Darglow bronze 3 blade feathering propeller.
