Since we started trading in 2018 our principal broker Mark Cameron has been a full member of the Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents (ABYA); joining the steering committee of the association in 2019.

The Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents (ABYA) is an association that represents professional yacht brokers, dealers and also new boat salespeople. With almost 200 members across the UK, Europe and further afield; ABYA provides ongoing training and monitors the continual professional development of its members to ensure that they are up to date on key areas such as marketing, anti-money laundering, the Recreational Craft Directive, Sale of Goods Acts, contract law, health and safety and the VAT Status of vessels.

As we at Mark Cameron Yachts look towards our 5th year of trading as a business we are steadily expanding our operations with Fiona Cameron joining the team on a full-time basis to provide administrative support to Mark and Derek Armstrong; who has been with the business since 2019 and is a familiar face to many of our clients. With the increasing legislative complexities associated with all aspects of Yacht Brokerage Fiona and Derek have been attending the ABYA Professional Yacht Brokerage Course in Hampshire this week. Following successful completion of the course both will be working during the next year to upgrade their ABYA membership to gain Full Member status; ensuring we continue to deliver the very best service to all of our clients.
