Now afloat and in commission for the 2019 season we have a full set of photos showing the beautiful Arcona 430 ‘REQUIEM’. With over 150 images now available by request showing the boats interior, exterior and shots of her under sail. Seriously for sale all offers on the asking price will be considered.

Commissioned as the last in a lifetime of yachts for an owner fond of competitive regatta sailing. REQUIEM was specified and built to the vendors exacting requirements. Centred around the requirement to be a comfortable short-handed cruiser while capable of performing on passages races and the odd regatta. Inventory highlights include:

• Full set of Carbon/Taffeta laminate sails custom built by Owen Sails.
• High aspect blade jib with inner sheet track.
• Aramid fibre cascading backstay system.
• Andersen Electric Primary, mainsheet and halyard winches.

Owners Comment:

A yacht owner for more than 50 years and now over 80. I can honestly say REQUIEM has brought me more enjoyment than any other yacht I have owned.  We took ownership of the boat in Sweden, her first real test was a North Sea crossing testing conditions. On that first passage I realised what a thoroughbred the Arcona 430 is.

After 9 years of cruising and some light racing I have total confidence in the boats ability. With the lines all lead aft and a full compliment of electric winches; cruising the boat with a crew of 2 is easy and rewarding.  Reefs are easily put in the main from the cockpit. She easily makes over 8kts to windward when cruising. We have found the blade jib to be an excellent sail. She is perfectly balanced and a pleasure to sail even in foul weather. The most rewarding boat I have ever owned.
