Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to announce the succesful sale of the 1978 Contessa 32 ‘KIRIBILLI OF LEITH’.

The Contessa 32 is one of the most admired yacht designs ever mass-produced. Designed by David Sadler and built by Jeremy Rogers the design has been in production from its inception in 1970 until the current day. Having proved itself in the most arduous conditions during the infamous 1979 Fastnet with a Contessa 32 being the smallest boat to complete the race. Examples of the design can be found cruising in the four corners of the world, drawing admiring glances where ever they go.

With her current owners for more than 20 years the Contessa 32 KIRIBILLI OF LEITH has enjoyed a comprehensive regime of maintenance and upgrades. Her inventory highlights including:

  • Hull blasted back to GRP and inspected before preventative epoxy treatment applied in 2017
  • GEBO deck hatches replaced with new items in 2004
  • Volvo Penta MD2002, 19hp marine diesel engine
  • 3 Blade, bronze fixed prop (2003)
  • New Varta domestic and engine batteries installed 2021
  • Rutland 504 wind generator

  • All sheets and reefing lines replaced with braid on braid lines in 2017

  • Eberspacher 2DL, diesel fired, blown air heating system. (2012)
  • Top loading fridge unit built in beneath worktop. Waeco compressor and chiller plate fitted new in 2013.

Lying ashore the Contessa 32 KIRIBILLI of LEITH will be launched before the end of the month before moving to her new home port of Rhu.
