We jumped into 2022 with a following wind; an extremely successful 2021 slipping into our wake. While we were optimistic about what 2022 would bring and its challenges. Who would ever have hazarded to guess we would see war in Europe before Easter. A revolving front door at Number 10 with a seemingly endless list of new Prime ministers and Chancellors and soaring inflation with the year ending as a cost of living crisis grips the UK and Europe. Despite a seemingly endless list of challenges compounded by a severe lack of stock within the UK brokerage market we are delighted to close the books on our most successful year to date with 80 sales completed and a gaggle of boats under offer due to close before the end of January.
The team here at Mark Cameron Yachts are enjoying a well-deserved festive break before getting back to work on January 9th and ready to face what looks like some choppy waters as we start 2023. Fiona and Derek have now completed the ABYA Introduction to Brokerage course as part of their personal development as we look to expand the companies’ brokerage services across Scotland.
While we take a short break before getting back to business for 2023 we thought it was a great opportunity to have a look at the highlights from a very busy 2022.
An exceptionally busy month saw a total of 8 sales completed and a handful of new listings comings onto the books.
Our busiest month to date since starting the business in 2018 we saw a total of 13 boats finding new owners, its difficult to pick the best of a very diverse range of boats.
We were kept busy right up until the 23rd with the final eight sales of the year completed before we closed the doors for a well deserved break.
