First launched in 1984, the Grand Banks 46 has proven to be an ideal long-distance cruiser, available in the Classic or Europa styles. A true semi-displacement hull it strikes the perfect balance between the extremes of full planning and displacement hulls; comfortable cruising between 8-10kts and capable of nearing 20kts if pushed hard. Designed for longer distance cruising the Classic layout boasts two spacious double cabins with a third crew cabin and elevated saloon. With over 300 hulls leaving the factory the Grand Banks 46 has built a loyal following.
With just her second owners since she was built the Grand Banks 46 Classic ANNE OF ARDFERN has been based in Scotland since her arrival in the UK as a new boat. A familiar sight around the coast of Scotland she has cruised extensively from Dublin in the south North to the Orkneys and as far west as St. Kilda. Proving herself to be a reliable and highly capable cruiser. Built to the specifications of her first owner (a lifelong Grand Banks owner), her extensive inventory is packed with optional extras.
After a rigorous winter refit, this magnificent motor yacht was handed over to her delighted new owners afloat and ready for the season on her berth at Craobh Marina.
