1998 Beneteau Oceanis 36CC ‘SHIMMER’ – SOLD

Beneteau Oceanis 36CC

Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to announce the successful sale of the 1998 Beneteau Oceanis 36CC ‘SHIMMER’.

The Beneteau Oceanis Centre Cockpit range was the French boatbuilding giants take on the popular centre cockpit layout which has proven so successful for the likes of Hallberg-Rassy, Najad and Moody. Unlike the more commonly found designs from Beneteau and Groupe Finot the Beneteau Oceanis 36CC has a number of features commonly associated with those successful Scandinavian designs such as the moulded bulwarks and fixed cockpit windscreen with canvas sprayhood extension protecting the cockpit. Below decks the layout boasts two double cabins and en-suite access to the heads from the aft cabin. The saloon benefits from a number of deck lights which flood the area with natural light. Clever use is made of the passage way aft which also contains a large linear galley.

The Beneteau 36CC SHIMMER is presented for sale, in commission and ready to go. She benefits from having been lightly used throughout her life with inventory highlights including:

  • Original white gelcoat finish to topsides and deck mouldings
  • GRP moulded fixed windscreen
  • Teak laid decks
  • Volvo Penta MD2030 marine diesel engine
  • Sterling Power Products 4-step alternator controller

Lying afloat on her berth in Dunstaffnage Marina near Oban the Beneteau Oceanis 36CC SHIMMER will be collected by her new owner this weekend before moving to her new home berth a short distance away at Kerrera Marina. With her new owner planning a mini re-fit this winter before setting off on adventures further afield next year we wish him the best of luck.
