Designed by Bill Dixon the Moody Eclipse 33 was a joint venture between Moody Marketing, Marine Projects Ltd and Marine Development Ltd which resulted in 3 different models of the Eclipse range going into production. The 33 is the smallest variation and proved to be a very popular design when in production between 1986 & 1994, the strong demand is still evident in today’s second-hand market. Based on a sailing yacht hull the Eclipse designs offer real on the water performance under sail when compared with other deck saloon and motor sailor offerings.
A Moody Eclipse MkII REDWINGS is one of the later examples to be built. Benefitting from a revised internal layout providing more space within the deck saloon. Well-equipped REDWINGS has benefited from continual maintenance and upgrades over the last two ownerships. Handed over to her new owners lying ashore for the winter at Dunstaffnage Marina REDWINGS will remain ahsore for the winter, launching in the spring with new owners.
