The Humber 35 was designed by John Askham; who was responsible for the design of the Nelson 34, 40 & 42 while employed by TT Boat designs. Commissioned by Fred Booker the design was to be based around the popular Nelson concept, a highly capable, semi-displacement hull form. However where the Humber 35 differs is the increased beam, dramatically increasing living space below decks and her moulded spray rail creating a more modern appearance. Her layout provides comfortable accommodation for up to eight with two cabins, both having en-suite heads.
Launched in 1992 the Humber 35 WHITE ROSE was featured at the Southampton Boatshow by the builders in September of that year. Built to her original owner’s specifications, she has a number of custom features. Now with just her second owners, she has been based on the west coast of Scotland since the early 2000s and has proven to be an ideal boat for exploring the coast and islands of Scotland’s west coast.
Just launched for the 2025 season after a winter ashore. WHITE ROSE was handed over to her new owners afloat at Kilmelford Yacht Haven. She will head off south this week, via the Irish coast to her new moorings in Swansea, Wales. We wish her and her new owners a safe passage south.
