Introduced in 1972 the Westerly Longbow hull designed by Laurent Giles went on to underpin various other models with differing deck and keel configurations, in excess of a thousand hulls being moulded before production ceased in 1980. 260 of the mouldings were the aft cockpit Westerly Longbows of ketch and sloop configurations. With its modest mast height the ketch version of the Longbow is regarded as a dependable cruising yacht.
ALOUETTE is a nicely presented example of this classic cruising ketch. Sailed single-handed or with only a couple aboard in the current ownership she has proven to be a safe and well-mannered companion. Her inventory highlights include:
