1977 Nelson 42 – MARENGO – SOLD

Mark Cameron Yachts are delighted to announce the successful sale of the 1977 Nelson 42 ‘MARENGO’.

The Nelson 42 was a development of the extremely successful Nelson 40 design. The hull shape being tweaked to give fuller and higher sections forward, improving the load carrying capacity and providing a drier ride in heavy weather. The hulls were moulded to Lloyds standards by Halmatic and then fitted out by a variety of different yards.

MARENGO is much-loved example of the class which was refitted to a high standard internally between 2017-19, modifying the layout below decks to provide a larger forward cabin and heads. She offers comfortable and reliable cruising for four. Handed over lying ashore at Balvicar Boatyard MARENGO will be launched before the weekend and head south to her new home mooring on the North West Coast of Ireland where he new owner plans to undertake and extensive re-fit to modernise the boat.
