The Nicholson 36 was one of the first GRP constructed yachts to be produced from designed by Peter and Charles Nicholson. As was typical in the early days of GRP construction the hull and deck with timber built in a traditional style. With the hulls moulded by Halmatic the traditional timber-built deck and coachroof were built and the vessels fitted out by either the Camper and Nicholson or St. Osyths boat yards. In total 25 examples of the class were built between 1962 and 1968.
JOSEPHINE is a rarity among the Nicholson 36 class in that the yard of AH Moody and Sons built the deck and fitted out the interior to her first owners specifications. There is an extensive file of historical information on the boat collated by previous owners. A powerful and capable yacht she has proven to be a rewarding boat to sail.
