Description

The replacement for the incredibly popular Westerly Longbow/Renown, the Westerly 33, was introduced in 1977. Larger all around than her predecessors, she retained the distinctive Laurent Giles knuckle bow and gained a sleeker and more elegant coach roof than earlier Westerly designs. With her large centre cockpit and spacious below-decks accommodation, the design proved to be popular; more than 200 were built until the hull was modernised and rebranded as the Westerly Discus.

Well presented, the Westerly 33 WAY OF THE WIND is in amazingly original condition below decks. Having been lovingly maintained through a succession of ownerships, she offers a rare opportunity to acquire an unmolested example of this spacious family cruiser. Her inventory includes:

Original gelcoat finish to topsides
Non-slip deck paint applied spring 2025
Mercedes OM636, 42hp diesel engine
Newmar RM15F automatic battery charger
Raymarine ST60 naviagtion instruments
Furuno 1730 radar
Raymarine RAY53 DSC VHF
Standard Horizon handheld VHF
Bainbridge Neptune 4500 gas cooker, two burner, grill and oven
Diesel fired, blown air heating system
Stack packs and lazyjacks for mainsail and mizzen
Electric anchor windlass

Lying afloat on her berth in Craobh Marina the Westerly 33 Ketch WAY OF THE WIND is available for immediate viewing by prior appointment.
