Description
A rare find, with fewer than five leaving the factory, the Vancouver 38 exemplifies Northshore Yachts and Tony Taylor at their best. It is a spacious, heavy displacement offshore cruising yacht configured with a masthead cutter rig and self-tacking staysail, all easily handled from a deep, well-protected cockpit. Below deck, it offers standing headroom throughout the accommodation spaces, featuring a large saloon and two well-proportioned double cabins.
Hull number one of the Vancouver 38 GUILLEMETTE was commissioned by a discerning owner who had the specification tailored to suit their requirements; she was displayed by Northshore Yachts at the 1999 Southampton Boat Show. With just her second owners since being launched, GUILLEMETTE is now reluctantly offered for sale as her owners look to downsize. Her comprehensive inventory includes highlights such as:

OWNER’S COMMENTS:
‘We bought Guillemette from her original owners who had specified numerous extras and who had kept her in immaculate condition. She has been an absolute pleasure to own, maintain and especially sail.
A single line reefing mainsail with lines led back to the cockpit, along with the flexibility of the cutter rig with self-tacking staysail, results in her being easily and safely sailed single-handed or sailed as a couple. The electric winches take the work out of setting the substantial headsail. Her stability and sailing characteristics are a delight and the powerful bow thruster makes for confident handling in confined marinas. The large cockpit canopy provides an extra room, comfortable all year round, and great for entertaining. Below decks she is incredibly comfortable, and the high headroom and layout results in a spaciousness which belies her 38ft.
Unfortunately age is catching up with us and we think the time has come for her to have some new adventures.’
