Description

From the long-established, highly regarded Nimbus range of powerboats the Nimbus 345 Coupe is an ideal coastal cruiser. She provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for a crew of 6 with a sea-kindly hull which cruises economically in displacement mode while capable of 20+ knots when required.
A later example of the Nimbus 345 Coupe LADY FYAL II is fitted with twin Volvo Penta engines and transom-mounted outdrive legs. The engines being mounted in the dedicated engine space beneath the cockpit sole. She has enjoyed a fastidious maintenance regime and upgrading in recent years, works including:

Professional stripping of antifouling back to original gelcoat during winter 2018/19

Upgrading of the navigation instrumentation to include Raymarine Axiom MFD chart plotter and radar (2018), Raymarine Quantum 2 doppler radar scanner (2018) and Icom IC-M411 DSCVHF (2014).
Transom engine bellows and teleflex control cables replaced 2018/19.
Solar panels installed in 2019.


LADY FYAL II is available for immediate viewing while wintering ashore; scheduled to be recommissioned and launched in late April 2020.

CONSTRUCTION

HULL

GRP moulded hull of sandwich construction.
Divinicell foam core, closed out below waterline.
Structural internal moulding to form floors, stringers and engine bearers,
Plywood bulkheads bonded to hull and deck mouldings to provide additional stiffening.
Bolt-on GRP moulded bathing platform.
Original blue gelcoat finish to hull.

ON DECK
Being the Coupe version of the design 'LADY FYAL II' boasts a large well-protected cockpit aft of the wheelhouse with transom boarding gate. With the fitted cockpit cover in place this forms a large extension to the living space aboard.
GRP moulded superstructure and cockpit finished in white gelcoat.
Single bow roller.
Below deck level anchor locker housing windlass and chain locker.
Teak laid panels to finish side decks, cockpit and bathing platform.
Solid stainless steel guard rails running the length of the side decks, from the bow to the forward end of the wheelhouse.

BELOW DECKS
As you would expect of a premium Scandinavian boat builder the quality materials and quality of fit-out throughout the interior of the boat are of an excellent standard. She provides comfortable spacious living for a maximum of 6 crew with two separate double cabins.
Upholstery throughout is finished in a navy blue with contrasting fitted carpets on the soles of the cabins and beneath the saloon table. A varnished teak and holly sole board forms the sole in the main walk-thru.
Forepeak -Serving as a master cabin. Large double berth located centrally. Shelves run the length of the bunk outboard with hanging locker units at the aft end of the cabin port and starboard. cave lockers beneath the bunk, accessible from the aft end of the bunk. Deck hatch and two opening portlights provide light and ventilation.
Port Cabin -A self-contained double cabin. Large double bunk thwart ships. A short bench seat forward of the bunk provides seating. Small dresser unit and hanging locker provided forward. Opening portlights outboard and into the main saloon provides ventilation.
Heads -Located on the starboard side. A linear heads compartment, constructed in a wet room style with the whole compartment being of a single GRP lining. Forward-facing Jabsco marine toilet at the aft end. Countertop running the length of the compartment outboard with stainless steel basin at the forward end. Basin faucet doubles as a showerhead when required. An opening portlight provides ventilation.
Wheel House -With its elevated position and all round windows the wheelhouse provides a bright living space. The helm station is located to starboard forward with dedicated helm seat. All engine and navigation instrumentation is easily visible from the helm seat. A double bench seat is provided to port for the navigator with perspex panelled chart table forward providing ample room to work on paper charts.
Saloon/Galley -Occupying the space immediately aft of the helm and nav station in the wheelhouse. A wrap-around L-shaped saloon settee is located to port outboard of the drop leaf table; professionally stripped and re-varnished in 2019. Cleverly the navigator's seat converts to provide an additional aft-facing bench seat at the forward end of the table. Storage is provided beneath the seating units. The galley has a single, linear worktop into which the gas stove is recessed, with an infill section to maximise worktop space when not in use. The stainless steel sink is located at the forward end of the worktop. Storage is provided in a series of lockers and drawers beneath the worktop with the crockery house in a large drawer beneath the aft saloon bench settee. A hinged hatch in the galley sole provides easy access to a large volume locker, ideal for the storage of dry goods and tins.

ENGINES
One of the later examples of the class both engines are located within the engine space below the cockpit sole, accessible through two large opening hatches in the cockpit sole.
