Description

The Nelson 42 was a development of the extremely successful Nelson 40 design. The hull shape being tweaked to give fuller and higher sections forward, improving the load carrying capacity and providing a drier ride in heavy weather. The hulls were moulded to Lloyds standards by Halmatic and then fitted out by a variety of different yards.

MARENGO is much loved example of the class which was refitted to a high standard internally between 2017-19, modifying the layout below decks to provide a larger forward cabin and heads.
