Description

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 32.2 was a development of the very successful SO32. Experts in design and production of boats to appeal to the masses Jeanneau applies the careful attention to design and detail throughout their model range. The SO32.2 boasts many of the features often found on her larger sisters.
VALKARA is a well presented and lightly used example of the class. An easily handled boat she has been cruised on the west coast in the last two ownerships, often single handed or with a crew of just two. Her inventory highlights include:

Standing rigging all replaced winter 2017/18.

Roller reefing genoa and slab reefing mainsail, lines all lead aft to cockpit.
Mid-boom mainsheet, clear of cockpit.
Harken winches.
Raymarine/Tack-Tick instruments, including autopilot.
Electric Windlass with wireless remote controls.
Yanmar2GM20 fully serviced spring 2019, cutless bearing replaced spring 2019.
Two double cabins and large separate heads compartment.

Below decks accommodation is provided for a total of 6 with two separate double cabins and a spacious heads compartment. An ideal family boat.
Currently wintering afloat in Portavadie Marina for the winter VALKARA is available for viewing by prior appointment.

WHAT THE BUILDERS SAY
The new Sun Odyssey 32.2 is notable by its voluminous accommodations and it's bright interior. Clearly this boat is made for cruising. The Sun Odyssey 32.2 combines all of the top qualities that make up a true JEANNEAU sailboat: Optimal freedom of movement above deck : going forward is done in safety thanks to wide decks and handrails running 2 meters along the roof. A spacious cockpit for more comfortable sailing with wheel steering for easy sailing. Easy access to the cockpit through a swinging transom helmseat. All sailing control lines led to a central location. Down below, light and space : The standing headroom is remarkable for a 32 footer : 1,80 m / 5' 11" The number of portholes and the quality of the teak woodwork creates a commodious salon that seats up to 6 persons. The teak furnished nav station, with lots of storage and places for electronic displays, fits in perfectly within the salon. The functional "L"-shaped galley and the forward-facing nav station are well thought out and exceed all expectations on a boat this size.
This boat comes with 2 large separate double-berth cabins with lots of ventilation. In the aft cabin, a porthole looks out onto the transom for an ocean view. With numerous storage compartments, the spacious yet practical head has a toilet and a shower. Under way, the SUN ODYSSEY 32.2 is surprising in it's lively feel. Its long rudder guarantees an easy helm even in a breeze.'
